Casela Park is one of the most famous and popular nature parks in Mauritius, located on the west coast of the island, near the town of Flick-en-Flac. The park covers an area of over 250 hectares and is a unique area for family vacations and adventures, where you can enjoy close encounters with wildlife as well as active entertainment.

Opening hours and fees

The park is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The cost of admission varies depending on the activities chosen, as the park offers different packages ranging from a standard ticket to specialized tours such as a lion walk or safari. 

Entrance fees: A standard adult entrance ticket is approximately 900 MUR (about 20 euros). Children's ticket (up to 12 years old) - about 500 MUR (about 11 euros).

  • Safari (for wildlife watching) - about 1000 MUR (approx. 22 EUR)

History of the park 

Casela Park was opened in 1979 as a small bird sanctuary, but over time it has expanded considerably to become one of the largest natural parks on the island. Today it is home to not only exotic birds but also many species of animals and offers a wide range of activities to suit all tastes.

Animals and nature

In Casela Park you can see a variety of wild animals that live in conditions as close to natural as possible. Among them:

  • Lions: One of the most popular attractions is the opportunity to see lions and even take part in unique guided tours where you can walk alongside these majestic animals.
  • Cheetahs: The park offers a rare opportunity to see cheetahs and also take part in special tours to meet them.
